Vapour Blasting, sometimes called Aqua Blasting, or Wet Blasting is a non-abrasive cleaning process with a wide range of applications across motor, marine, industry, aerospace, home & more.

Vapour blasting achieves an outstanding, pristine finish which cannot be achieved by hand. The satin finish can be handled without leaving finger marks, is very easy to keep clean and is immediately ready to paint or coat.  Vapour Blasting cleans by flow, thereby eliminating impact, resulting in a 'soft' finish with the water acting as a lubricant with the media, so it doesn't remove any of the structural material. This makes it particularly suitable for gasket surfaces,  cylinder heads, pistons, valves and more where its important not damage to the underlying component.

Ultrasonic cleaning is the best way to clean Carburettors, Cylinder heads, Turbo chargers, fuel injectors, Brake callipers and other delicate mechanical items. It reaches all the hidden areas of components that traditional manual cleaning cannot reach. This process improves both the appearance and function of these components. The Ultrasonic Cleaning process while cleaning the internal and external surfaces removes fuel and other stubborn deposits like carbon build-up from pistons and cylinder heads and other items with difficult to reach pathways.

 FAQ'S

Q. Do I have to disassemble heads, engines, carburettors etc before sending them to you?

A. (1) For vapour blasting Yes. This ensures hard to reach area's are cleaned thoroughly and helps remove any media from your part post blasting.

A. (2) Ultrasonic cleaning can be performed with the parts still assembled.

Q. Can you vapour blast a whole engine?

A. While some companies offer this service I am not prepared to risk your engine. A tiny ingress of water/media could cause catastrophic damage to your engine.

Q. Does Vapour Blasting cause damage to critical surfaces?

A. No, Vapour Blasting can be safely used on cylinder heads, pistons etc. Threads etc do not need to be taped up or plugged.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. Every part varies depending on condition & complexity. There are some guide prices below. I charge an hourly rate and only for the time taken. I do not round up the cost to the nearest 10/15 mins....

Q. Can Vapour Blasting be used on steel etc?

A. While it can there is a danger of flash rust forming very quickly. I can coat your part with a rust inhibitor or a light oil for dispatch back to you. The part would need to be coated/painted/greased etc soon after receiving it back.

Q. Does ultrasonic cleaning improve the appearance of my parts.

A. Generally it wont make much of a difference on its own.... I do however wash the outside with my bioremediation hot wash before hand. This will help with the finished appearance. Vapour blasting will return the carb to almost new looking, Ultrasonic cleaning removes stale fuel and blockages from the tiny passageways inside the carb.
