We can confirm that this tool covers the 'Time & Distance' Service Scheduling as used by Audi & Volkswagen using UDS14229 CAN-Bus Protocol from 2008, unlike other tools listed.

Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) coverage and functionality on Audi, Volkswagen, Seat & Skoda models fitted with EPB.

Overview:

This service reset tool has been designed to allow a safe environment to service braking systems on the newer vehicles in the Audi, Volkswagen, Seat & Skoda range. From simple caliper retraction on Passat to the more involved pad calibration required on the newer A8, the SP Diagnostics SLR/ EPB reset tool will do the job. Tilt Angle calibration is required for vehicles with the Auto Hold parking brake control, this could be after crash damage or sensor replacement, calibration is required for the correct operation of this system.

Functions

Open Calipers - Retracts calipers to allow access to the pads and discs safely, also required when fitting a new caliper, park brake motor, wheel hub etc.

Close Calipers - After servicing the caliper can be returned to the correct position.

Basic Setting - Cycles the braking system 3 times to allow correct movement and function to be checked.

Open Caliper With Pad Change - For the A8 the wear indicator is also reset by entering the pad thickness either after new or cleaned pads have been fitted to the vehicle.

Close Caliper With Pad Change - For the A8 the wear indicator reset is confirmed using this process.

Tilt Angle Calibration - For vehicles fitted with "Auto Hold" systems this sensor can be re-calibrated after removal or replacement.
