uSDX is optimized from QCX-SSB open source hardware. The powerful software supports the use of less hardware to complete the SW transceiver and supports the SSB mode (reception quality is very good, transmission quality is slightly worse). In addition, the developer also developed an AM/FM mode for it, but AM/FM is defined as a gift function. Don't expect AM/FM too high.

 

The hardware has the following features:

 

Case size : 82.8MM*28.8MM*110MM;

 

Interaction and display: rotary encoder; MENU+EXIT button; 1602N liquid crystal display; headphone output interface; CAT interface; PTT_OUT interface (used to control external power amplifier); MIC microphone interface; electric key interface; K-head microphone or headset interface (built 5 wire sequence); antenna interface is BNC interface; power interface is 5.5*2.0 specification. Built-in speaker with cavity (general effect).

 

Support 8 frequency bands:

 

80-meter band (3.5MHz);

60-meter band (5.3MHz);

40-meter band (7MHz);

30-meter band (10MHz);

20-meter band (14MHz);

17-meter band (18MHz);

15-meter band (21MHz);

10m band (29MHz);

 

Three TO-92 encapsulated BS170 tubes are used, and the transmitting power is 3-5W (reserve a BS170 and IRF530 pad for DIY upgrades).

 

Working voltage: 7-13.8V (up to 15V but not recommended, transmission power will decrease if it is lower than 13.8V)

 

Standby current: <90mA (built-in speaker and volume is 0)/<80mA (external headphone and volume is 0)

 

 

The hardware sold this time is the hardware after 3 iterations, and all the known defects have been modified. However, I hope that it maintains the original design as much as possible, so that fans can find more information on the above-mentioned website to facilitate later DIY or Mill. The hardware indicators sold this time meet or exceed the original design. The components are purchased from Lichuang Mall. The PLL uses 0.5PPM TCXO temperature compensated crystal oscillator. The LPF part uses 100V NP0/C0G capacitors, imported powder magnetic rings, and relays. It is an Omron magnetic latching relay.

 

However, DIY equipment cannot be compared with commercial machines. There may be one or other defects. The choice is acceptance, please be aware.

 

Other instructions: The op amp chip LM4562 is a genuine disassembly machine; the relay is a genuine disassembly machine from Omron. Please consider carefully if you are concerned. The frequency of the finished machine will be roughly calibrated (error +-10Hz) before shipment.
