A Bit of History:
The ZLM01 (aka the 'waffle strap) was Seiko’s first in-house divers strap. The strap earned the nickname of “waffle” due to its distinctive iron square pattern.
The strap was first introduced with the 6215-7000 diver in 1967. This is first shown in the Seiko Sales June 1967 issue. The watch was supplied with the ZLM01 for the duration of its production run.
This Strap:
Made of incredibly comfortable and durable FKM rubber in classic black colouring, these straps are absolutely fantastic all-rounders.
The waffle styling adds a lot of depth to the strap and the pronounced shoulders give it a lovely profile on the wrist. Honestly, I've yet to find a watch these don't look amazing on. If you have a diving watch in particular, these things are absolute must-haves
The notched stainless steel buckle is high quality and is nicely in proportion to the band.
