What is a Pi1541?

- Well the Pi1541 is a real time cycle exact commodore 1541 disk drive emulator that will run on a Raspberry Pi 3b, 3b+, 3a+

- The Pi1541 is able to emulate the 6502cpu and 6522 CIA's of the 1541 drive so well that there is basically 100% compatibility allowing you to run all your favourite image files from a standard micro SD card such as:

- D64, D81, PRG, G64, NIB, NBZ files

- Multi-disk images

- Demos and original disk image files

- Commodore 1581 drive emulation is also supported

- JiffyDOS 1541 and 1581 roms supported

- Writing support for D64 and G64

How good is the Pi1541?

- Well from my testing I have been able to load CSDB demos and original disk images that fail to run on my 1541-ultimate II cartridge which is considered the gold standard in 1541 emulation. You should not be disappointed!
