This is an original 64 page, 5 7/8" x 7 1/2", pulp paperback book Titled El Coyote Se Alquila Un Asesino (To Rent a Murderer). The book was written by J. Mallorqui and is number 88 in the El Coyote series. The title page indicates that this is a Cliper Edition. The obverse of the title page includes a list of the many publications by J. Mallorqui of which this is No. 88 in the El Coyote Series. This page states Primera edicion, (First Edition), Agosto (August) 1949 and at the bottom of this page it states Imprenta Moderna Barcelona. The book includes illustrations by F. Batet. While the black and white illustrations inside the book bear his facsimile signature, the cover art does not. The book is written in Spanish.

Condition – The book is complete and tightly bound. Cover wear is moderate. There is some small edge and corner creases. There is also a reading crease about a quarter of an inch inward from the spine edge and the edge is somewhat curled as might happen when the book held in the hand like a rolled up magazine or newspaper. The spine edge almost fully intact with small portions of chipped away paper at the extreme top and bottom. There are no markings in the book including no previous owners names. The pages are browned from age and there are some very noticeable foxing spots on the lower portions of pages 13 - 18. There are a few edge torn pages that appear to be from a few pages having to be separated at edges which were uncut when the book was printed. Primarily due to the foxing spots the book can be considered as in only acceptable condition.
