It’s a beautiful species of Lichen with erect hollow branches that are caped with distinctive red fruiting bodies which is where the common name comes from. In the spring it’s greener and redder than at other times of year. They burst with color when watered but don’t require much water at all. Organically AND sustainably mountain grow in the PNW. We harvest with respect for nature - great care is taken to not damage the lichen itself, the surrounding ecosystem and never over harvest as the growth rate is so slow. We love our lichen and you will too!

Red Soldier lichen is a popular favorite in Terrariums, paludariums, reptile and amphibian enclosures.

These are a live plant and wild harvested. We try to pick out only the best looking but occasionally there are small blemishes, bits of soil, or bits of forest leafs. ITS ORGANIC!
