Marga Spertale (1901-1981) Born on March 26, 1901 in Königsberg. She studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Latvia (1920) and the Latvian Academy of Arts (1921-1925), where she received many initiatives from V. Purvītis and J. Kuga. Study trips to Bavarian cities in 1920, to Italy in 1924, to Poland, Germany in 1930 and to Berlin in 1935, where he will be supplemented at the Reiman School of Applied Arts, play an important role in her artistic growth. The artist's work is closely intertwined with the Jelgava Theater (1924 - 1953), where a stimulating collaboration is formed as a costume for the artist with the theater decorator and life partner Arvīds Spertāls.
