The BenQ MW824ST WXGA Short Throw 3D DLP Projector provides 3200 ANSI lumens of brightness and a 13,000:1 contrast ratio for clear, bright presentations - even in rooms with high ambient light. It features a WXGA 1280 x 800 native resolution, a 3D DLP chip system and a LampSave Mode that supports a long lamp life up to 10,000 hours. The MW824ST is equipped with SmartEco Technology as well, which combines optimum levels of brightness and picture quality for maximum energy savings and a lower overall cost of ownership.

The projector provides a No Source Detected Mode, which will automatically lower the projector lamp brightness to 30% after it has remained unconnected for three minutes. Other features include a built-in 10W mono speaker, flexible connectivity options including HDMI, MHL mobile device mirroring, and an Eco Blank Mode that allows teachers to blank the projection screen when it is not in use. The MW824ST supports ecoFACTS environmentally friendly packaging as well.

SmartEco Technology

SmartEco Technology is an innovative and environmentally friendly solution that enhances the energy saving capabilities of your projector's DLP system. It strikes an optimized balance between picture quality, brightness, and energy efficiency. This allows students and teachers to get the most out of their classroom experience, while also helping the school by extending lamp life, minimizing maintenance, and reducing the projector's total cost of ownership.

Smart Eco Mode

Designed to minimize power consumption and maximize energy efficiency, Smart Eco Mode cleverly adjusts the projector's lamp power by delivering optimum contrast and brightness levels that use only as much light as needed.

LampSave Mode

Projector lamp replacement costs make up the biggest part of the total cost of projector ownership. The LampSave Mode is designed to adjust the lamp power dynamically by content brightness level to extend projector lamp life by up to 50%. The lamp replacement frequency is also reduced by up to 50% to lower the replacement costs.

LumenCare Mode

The LumenCare Mode, which adjusts projector lamp power in gain steps until full power is reached, effectively maximizes power saving and reduces brightness decay. This mode ensures three years of consistent image brightness for optimal learning and teaching.

Eco Blank Mode

The Eco Blank Mode allows teachers to blank the projection screen whenever they need to direct their students' focus back on them - or simply when the projector is not in use. When activated, this special feature dims the lamp power automatically, lowering the total power consumption by 70%.

No Source Detected Mode

In the classroom, there will be times when the projector is turned on without a DVD player, computer or other display source connected. In order to reduce the amount of power wasted in these instances, BenQ created the No Source Detected Mode. It works by lowering the lamp brightness down to 30% after the projector has remained unconnected to a display source for more than three minutes.

3D Blu-Ray Support

The MW824ST is built with DLP technology to support 3D functionality, allowing schools and businesses to bring an immersive learning experience to their students and employees with a simple preparation of 3D glasses and 3D content from your Blu-ray player.

3D Support & Compatibility

The MW824ST supports multiple 3D formats including the frame sequential format up to 720p resolution, the frame packing format up to 1080p resolution, the side-by-side format up to 1080i/p resolution, and the top-bottom format up to 1080p resolution.

Zero Eye-Blinding Lights

The short-throw projection distance keeps the projector light from shinning directly into your eyes, allowing you to keep your focus on your audience.

Zero Disruptions

With a projection distance this close, you can move freely without worrying about obstructions between the projector and the screen.

PointWrite Technology

PointWrite lets multiple students contribute at once. Teachers can get up to four students to come up to the board and collaborate simultaneously with their optional PointWrite pens. PointWrite is easy to set up and cost efficient, making it a flexible budget-friendly option for multi-pen systems.

Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) Connectivity

With MHL connectivity, you can share your content from compatible Android mobile devices on the big screen. The MW824ST MHL functionality allows you to mirror the data, photo and other contents from your Android smartphone or tablet to a large projection screen. Plus, your device will be charged while you're using it, so you don't have to worry about battery power loss during your presentations.

Upper Lamp Door for Easy Lamp Access

The upper lamp door is designed for IT managers to replace the projector lamp safely and quickly. Should the projector lamp go out in the middle of the class, it can be replaced without delaying the class.

LAN Control with Crestron & PJ-Link

LAN Control is designed to help IT managers perform day-to-day projector maintenance and repair tasks efficiently and effectively - offering them full access and control over every projector at the facility directly from their own workstation. The MW824ST offers seamless support for the Crestron and PJ-Link LAN Control system as well.

Quick Installation

By pressing the Quick Install key on the remote control, the installer can quickly access installation related functions in the OSD menu.

Multiple Picture Modes

Equipped with seven picture modes including Dynamic, Presentation, sRGB, Cinema, 3D, User 1 (custom), and User 2 (custom).

Five Aspect Ratio Modes Supported

The projector features five aspect ratio modes including its native 16:10, support for 16:9, support for 4:3, a Real mode that resizes the image to match the content's original resolution, and an Auto mode that resizes content to match the projector's native 16:9 aspect ratio.

ecoFACTS Label

ecoFACTS declares that the MW824ST supports the effort to replace hazardous substances by improving material selection, packaging design, energy-saving design, and other aspects of the product. Includes arsenic-free optical glass, BFR/PVC-free casing plastics, and PVC-free plastic packaging.
