My husband's father was a diplomat. These three travel cases may date pre-1950 and they definitely travelled with my husband and his grandmother to visit his parents in Nigeria and elsewhere during the 1950s-1960. They were valued to go to auction pre-Covid but ended up in a storage unit which is now in need of urgent clearing. Due to our age, we need to clear them as they are too heavy for us to lift or use and they would take up too much space in our new home. They are nice in their original state but need some TLC to clean them up and make them an lovely display. They are hard sided and a combination of materials.
