An original glossy black and white photograph that belonged to the Press Association featuring former Beatle George Harrison and financier Denis O’Brien.

The photograph accompanied a press story on April 23rd 1984 that three films would be made by Handmade Films that year, with a further three to five films made each year following.

At this time Handmade Films had already produced The Life of Brian, Time Bandits, The Long Hood Friday, The Missionary and Privates on Parade - with Water, A Private Function and Travelling Man soon to follow.

The next run of films didn’t keep to the idea of three in a year but did include Withnail & I, Mona Lisa and Shanghai Surprise within three years.

George and Denis eventually fell out towards the end of the decade over financial disagreements.

The glossy photo remains in mint condition, has a Press Association stamp to the rear, along with an accompanying affixed article in green to accompany the press story.

A rare piece of Press Association Beatles memorabilia.
