《偶然》这首歌在制作的时候邀请了当年的原唱陈秋霞一起录制合唱，通过二人的合作之下，成就了这首《偶然》。专辑中的首波主打《张三的歌》当年是由李寿全创作演唱，是齐秦喜爱的歌曲之一，也因此当初在选歌收录时，《张三的歌》是最先考虑的歌曲，也是第一首录制的歌

。专辑中的弦乐全部由弦乐师钟兴民编写完成，录制全程由中国爱乐的首席LIVE演奏，混音则邀请到美国混音师Bernie Grundman来完成。此外，齐秦的好友黄韵玲也参与了专辑中部分歌曲的配唱制作环节

专辑拍摄邀请了日本摄影师川口典贤赴台湾拍摄。由于专辑的概念是岁月的永恒，于是摄影师从日本带来特殊的灯光设备，利用烟雾机的喷烟以及灯光的反射，而创造出时间的流动感
