Thymus serpyllum, Also known as Creeping Thyme, “Common Wild Thyme", "Breckland Thyme" or "Elfin Thyme".

Low growing aromatic perennial. Dense foliage. Milder than common thyme. Sweetened with honey, is good for sore throats and coughs. Well drained site, tolerates part shade. Sow after frost.

Thyme wild does well in sunny beds, borders, rock gardens and spilling over rock walls. Once established from ground it is fairly drought tolerant. Can also handle some light foot traffic and some shade.

Sow directly onto the top of the soil in spring. Press into soil, don’t cover

and keep moist. Spread seeds roughly 25-50cm (6-12 inches) apart.
