THESE WERE INTENDED TO CONTAIN A YELLOW ID PANEL

THEY WERE USED TO MARK AIRBORNE DROP & LANDING ZONES FOR PARACHUTE AND GLIDER TROOPS.

THEY WERE ALSO USED TO INDICATE BEING "FRIENDLY" TO THE AIR CORP BY DRAPING PANELS OVER HOODS OF ALLIED VEHICLES OR TO MARK THEIR POSITION

These have been stored in my father's store since he bought them as surplus after WWII.  Without the package being opened, I don't really know if there is any rust on the buckles or spots or discoloration on the canvas from being stored for over 70 years!
