Western Toy Company was known for well made toys like cash registers and typewriters. Even though this is considered a children's toy its well made and heavy. All metal and fully functional just like a real typewriter. You will need a new ribbon for it to type but everything works when I tested it. There is some slight rusting on the front and one side and the space bar has some paint wear shown in photos. It a rather large toy measuring 10" x 10" so it will make a great presents on a table or a shelf. It is missing the cover for the top but if it was mine I would want to display without it. Nice company decal with a 50's cartoon in a bowtie.
