5 VINTAGE 'STREET' PHOTOGRAPHS FEATURING AFRICAN AMERICAN SUBJECTS. Judging by the uniformity of the presentation, these photographs were obviously all taken by the same photographer. We do not know who the photographer is, nor the location.

THE PHOTOGRAPHS:

1) Man doing a handstand. How he keeps his hat on is beyond me. Signs in the background (and clues for research into location) include: Pizzarena Pizza and Sub, Coca Cola, Queen City Cleaners, Farrington Photo Studio, Custom Picture Framing,  Kodak?, Caver? T.V. Ser(Vice). At the top of one building: Holly No. 7. Someone with knowledge of cars could date this. Approximately 3 7/8 x 5 11/16 inches. Soiling along top edge. A tad dark, but great content and lots of signage.

2) Little boy and fire hydrant. This is my favorite of the group! Approximately 5 11/16 x 3 7/8 inches. Missing a tiny bit of emulsion at top edge. A tad dark, but awesome pose and composition.

3) A boy counting money or holding a purchase in the doorway of a small store. Brands include: Tide, Oxydol, Ivory Snow, Ken-L Ration, Improved Rival Dog Food Regular Beef. Approximately 4 5/8 x 3 3/8 inches. Very good condition and appearance.

4) 2 young men lighting each other’s cigarettes. A white lady approaches them from behind. Signs include: Snow Route Tow Zone.
Approximately 3 3/4 x 5 11/16 inches. A few small spots and marks. Great detail to the smoke. The young men are a bit underexposed.

5)5 children on steps (mostly or all girls). Approximately 5 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches. A few small spots and marks. Dark, but some great smiles.

THE MOUNTS: Approximately 13 3/4 x 10 7/8 inches each. Varying degrees of soiling. Varying degrees of wear at corners. Additionally, #4 has significant creases and #5 has a couple of small tears.
