Clare Fischer Orchestra featuring Jerry Coker - “Extension” Discovery Records DS-902 (Stereo) from 1984. Great Modern Big Band Jazz Album from Clare Fischer along with Jerry Coker, Bud Shank, John Lowe, Don Shelton, Gary Foster, Sam Most, Larry Bunker, Ben Kantor, Louis Ciotti, Jack Nimitz, Vince De Rosa, Gil Falco, Richard Perissi, Fred Teuber, Bobby Knight, Tommy Johnson, Colin Bailey and Bob West. Produced by Albert Marx. This is a reissue of the 1963 Pacific Jazz LP of the same name with catalog # ST-77 with different Cover art. In the Original Textured cover with no Cutouts, Promo markings or Barcode. Pressed on Black Vinyl which is Translucent Purple when held before a bright light - probably an Audiophile Vinyl like Quiex II or perhaps more likely KC 569 Blend Premium Virgin Vinyl by KM Records since there is “KM” in the runout vinyl.
The Textured Sleeve is in nice shape. There is some slight basic shelf wear and a little corner softening/wear. There is a bit of creasing in the lower left and possibly some sun fading on the upper edge. Still super solid with no cutouts, writing, splits, stains, tears, etc. and would rate as VG+. The Vinyl itself is in pristine Glossy condition looking barely played and possibly unplayed. If you really look closely you may be able to find a light scuff or two but very close to New condition and easily Near Mint. The labels are also Near Mint.

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:
Very Good Plus (VG+):
Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG):
Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
