How things used to be at the ASG shipping yard

The brand friends have long appreciated a traditional WIKING theme: Everything that concerns the Swedish forwarding company ASG is held in high esteem! This is mainly due to the high conciseness of the corporate design of the Swedish logistician. The color combination of strong sapphire blue and contrasting melon yellow proves to be unmistakable. And so that the numerous, well-known model combinations can find a WIKING home, there is now an edition set that focuses on the logistics yard. In addition, the traditional model makers are realizing the bungalow as a shipping office - a very realistic idea! In addition, there is the forklift, which should not be missing in any haulage yard.

As an advertising order from the Swedish forwarding company, the WIKING models were once very popular, but they were also able to score points in the series. The reason was obvious: since the 1950s, Sweden has been part of the solid and reliable export market for traditional model builders, who were thus also able to offer Swedish model and railway enthusiasts a true-to-scale “home model”. The "ASG" design was then always recurring, especially since the striking design of Swedish origin was characteristic of the streetscape for decades due to ever new locations in Europe - incidentally also in Hamburg. After all, the "Aktiebolaget Svenska Godsbilcentraler" was founded in 1935 by the Stockholm Rederi AB Svea. After a cooperation with DANZAS had already been agreed in 1993, ASG was taken over in 1999 by the Swiss company Danzas, which belongs to Deutsche Post AG.
