Diese im Indopazifik weitverbreitete Schnecke lebt im Brackwasser der Küstenbereiche, meist in den Mangrovensümpfen. Ihre Gehäuse sind größtenteils intensiv mit Algen bewachsen und oft oberflächlich korrodiert. Dieser Mangel wurde durch Abschleifen und polieren des Gehäuses behoben.
