Theraphosa stirmi gehört zu den größten Vogelspinnen. Sie kann durch Abreiben der "Brennhaare" ihres Hinterleibs mit ihrem hinteren Beinpaar Feinde abwehren. Sie zählt zu den dämmerungsaktiven Vogelspinnen und lebt tagsüber meist versteckt.
Die Montage des Präparates in das allseitig verglaste Diorama erfolgte in einer deutschen Präparatorenwerkstatt.
Theraphosa stirmi is one of the largest tarantulas. She can fend off enemies by rubbing the "stinging hairs" of her abdomen with her hind leg pair. It is one of the twilight active tarantulas and lives mostly hidden during the day.
The installation of the zoological specimen in the fully glazed diorama was made in a German taxidermy studio.
