Description

A wonderful Victorian pressed glass basket shaped bowl, made in white Milk glass (also known as Vitro-Porcelain glass. Made by British company Sowerby in the 1880's, and bears their trademark of a peacock and a design lozenge on the base. This design, pattern number 1403½ is shown on page 8 of Sowerby's Illustrated Pattern Book No IX, issued in June 1882. This particular colour range was called Blanc de Lait.

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 4.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, just a tiny nick to the base rim, shown in final picture.
