A beautiful Giant African Swallowtail butterfly in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.

The Giant African Swallowtail belongs to the Papilionidae family of butterflies. The butterfly is the largest butterfly in Africa and among the largest butterflies in the world. The first description of this butterfly was in 1782 by Drury

Its wingspan reaches 18 - 23 centimetres (71 - 39.1 in).

Latin Name:Papilio antimachus.

Distribution: Papilio machaon can be found in most regions of central Africa.
