This is for an original ticket for the October 25 1981
World Series game played between the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers
and Dodger Stadium. This would be game 5 of the series and Ron Guidry would be
cruising along with a 1-0 lead until the seventh inning. After Guidry struck
out Dusty Baker to lead off the inning, Baker told Pedro Guerrero and Steve
Yeager to move up in the box to take away the late break of Guidry’s slider. Guerrero
and Yeager would proceed to hit back to back home runs in almost the identical
spot to give the Dodgers a 2-1 lead and victory in game 5 of the series. Ticket
has a slight crease above the word “WORLD” in world series and a slight separation
at the audit stub, but still displays nicely.
