The 1000 Mile Fusion Sport Sock was the first running sock of it’s kind (double layered AND padded) and it’s proven to be one of our most popular socks in the range since it’s conception over 5 years ago.
Conventional sock wisdom dictates that you can either have padding for protection and comfort, or two layers for reduced friction. Padded socks are thick, double layer socks are thin. The 1000 Mile Fusion Sock breaks that mould with innovative design and material technology to provide a sock that offers everything:
The Fusion Anklet Sock combines the comfort and protection that comes from a padded sock with the 1000 Mile Double Layer System for reduced friction and blister protection.

The padded zone on the heel, not only helps to protect the Achilles tendon but has been extended around the ankle to the front to protect the foot from any discomfort caused by footwear.
Specifically shaped padding on the toe and ball of foot areas cover known trouble spots for runners and walkers alike, giving extra protection whatever the activity. Making these the ultimate comfort in padded running socks.
We’ve even added in ventilation zones on the top of the foot section to increase breathability and help keep the feet feeling cool during wear.
This sock is knitted to an ankle length for those who prefer a shorter sock.
Covered by our unique BLISTER FREE GUARANTEE – Double layer construction helps to eliminate friction between the foot and shoe. This reduced wear and helps to prevent blisters.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Ventilation zones for added breathability

Socks will be sent with packaging but to keep costs down the socks may be removed from packaging and layed flat inside the mail bag.
We also do this to cut (carefully with scissors) the "kimble" or "Barb" that secures the socks to the packaging for customers. This is to prevent the customer creating holes in the socks when ripping the "barb" from the socks when receiving.
As a result of this we have not had one report of any holes in the socks since implementing this procedure.
