Here we have a rare, superb quality antique champagne ice bucket or wine cooler. This beautiful piece was made somewhere around 1870 in the USA by quality makers Meriden Britannia Company of Connecticut. The company ceased to exist as an independent company in 1898. Champagne buckets by them are extremely hard to find and the only other one I could find for sale was several thousands of dollars. This is extremely well made, its quadruple plated making it heavy and solid. It has a beautiful, wavy, almost reeded design with 3 bands, one to top, middle and base. It's very stylish, grand and is finished with a ring loop handle to either side. This would grace any mansion, manor or luxury estate and would look great filled with a bottle of bubbly and ice or displayed behind the bar in a swanky cocktail bar, or cocktail cabinet. This would also make a nice centrepiece in the middle of a table. It measures approximately 8.75 inches tall by 7.5 inches by 8.5 inches. This weighs just under 1.5kg's. This is the only one on eBay of course and online so get it or regret it!! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Please see my other items where I have a few other soda syphons, accessories and other cocktail related items listed.

Please add me to your favourites list and take a look at my other items as I have hundreds that will be listed daily in the up and coming weeks.

Please Note;

I use new & recycled materials to ensure that your item arrives to you safely. I pack all of my items the best I can which you will see from my feedback. However, as with fragile items there is always a risk, items such as Antiques/Collectables, glass, ceramics, paintings etc are not insured for damage by any of the postal services, with the exception of The Royal Mail. This is why I offer a choice of postage options, so you can choose your preferred postage method. Collection in person is also available on all of my items. In the unfortunate, and unlikely event that something does get damaged or goes missing with the Royal Mail then I will do my very best to assist you in making a claim. I always obtain proof of postage for all of my sent items. Sadly I cannot be held responsible for the postal services poor handling of parcels. Here are a few links regarding Royal Mails compensation policies and how to make a claim if necessary.

International Buyers – Please Note:

Import duties; sometimes there will be a charge, I think this is mainly charged on high value items, this is something that the Government enforces to which I have no control of. I declare the value of the parcel as the price the item sold for plus shipping costs.

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
