Brass Nibco Gate valve with a Buna Rubber Plunger.  This has 1.25" STRAIGHT pipe thread.   Your typical TAPERED pipe thread will thread into this but will NOT form a reliable seal since this is a STRAIGHT thread.  This has a NON rising stem when the turned.
