Percy writes a play 'Oh My Lord', he hopes to have it professionally produced. A shady producer agrees to back the play, thinking that it will be a such a disaster, that he will be able to claim insurance on its failure. 

The play is a comical success, unfortunately Percy signed away 110% of the revenue so in fact he is at a loss, so he attempts to sabotage the play in doing so it causes more chaos. the film script owes much to the days of slapstick ie the Marx Brothers
