The history of the first aviation chronograph of the Chinese Air Force (1963).

In April 1961, Tianjin Watch Factory, famous for its success in manufacturing "China's First Watch" at home and abroad, established a trial production for China based on the task assigned by the light department at that time. The aviation watch (chronograph) used by the Air Force has a mission code of "304". As of October 1965, a total of three batches of sample tables have been tried out. In December 1965, "304" was approved by the First Light Industry Department, including 08 units at that time, Air Force Command, Naval Aviation Command, Naval Equipment Ordering Department Manufacturing Supervision Department, and Marine Aviation Protection Department, etc. 38 leaders, expert organizations appraised, finalized, and allowed production. In May 1966, the Tianjin Watch Factory decided to put it into operation. At the end of October of the same year, 1,400 finished products were assembled and sent to the front line of the Chinese Air Force.
