This set was produced by Steiff to celebrate the entry into the new millennium, while bidding farewell to the old. The blue tones of Goodbye 1999 deepen as the old millennium fades into history. Hello 2000 dawns from a pale yellow to a vibrant rose to signify the entry of the newly arrived millennium. The bears arrive as a matched numbered pair in a commemorative, satin lined presentation album. Each bear measures 8 ¾ inches tall, has a white ear tag, and is a numbered limited edition. Production of the Set closed at the end of 2000. A numbered certificate of authenticity is inside the box.
