CladFX™ is a solid natural stone cladding panel system that can be used for internal and external application.

CladFX™ is sold by the square meterage. Each piece measures 600 x 150mm with a varying depth of 15-20mm. The cladding is supplied in boxes of approximately 8 panels per box, but this can vary from batch to batch. Matching corner pieces are also available. The weight per m2 is approximately 50kg.

Our CladFX™ panel design allows up to 30m2 of walling to be built each day as opposed to 3m2 for random rubble walling. Specialist training or skills are not required.

Installation

CladFX™ stone panels are quick and easy to install. You will need a notched trowel, adhesive, rubber mallet, an angle grinder with a diamond tipped blade. Ensure the wall surface is clean and free of dust, dirt and paint. A generous amount of adhesive should be applied directly to the back of each panel as well as the wall surface to ensure full adhesion. It is important to get the bottom row as level as possible. CladFX™ panels should be fixed in a brick bond pattern, as tight as possible. No grout is required. CladFX™ should be fitted from the lowest row. The brick bond pattern will disguise the joints. The panels should be applied over a masonry surface, concrete, brick, cement etc…

For exterior application a simple cement-based adhesive with a high level of flexibility, minimal vertical movement and resistant to prolonged exposure can be used. It is important to ensure that the adhesive is suitable for the weight of the panels.

Sealing CladFX™

We recommend the use of a single coat of impregnating sealant to protect the stone and repel dirt, water and oil. This should be applied to dry stone only. The use of a low-pressure sprayer, paint brush, sealant applicator pads or towels can be used to apply the sealant. Gloves, eye and face mask should be used to protect from breathing in any sealant vapour. The wall must be kept dry for at least three days following application.

Suitability of CladFX™

If installed correctly, CladFX™ is suitable for use in water features, fireplaces, swimming pools and freezing conditions.
