The anti-skate weight comes attached to a thin fishing wire, suitable for turntable decks that specify a 4g Anti Skate weight of this type.
(please check that the 6.5cm nylon thread length is suitable for your application)
Intended to be hooked over a small bar on the rear of some tonearms, (the nylon line has a pre-made loop for this purpose) the line then hangs over the anti-skate cable holder guide, so that the weight hangs freely above the plinth of the record deck.
This effectively creates a small force pulling on the tone arm, that small force pulls in the opposite direction to which the arm is naturally traveling.. ie. it very lightly pulls on the arm, in the direction away from the centre of the record.
This counters the arms natural tendency to push the stylus to the inner edge of the groove and helps centre the stylus, thus creating a more accurate and better sounding reproduction of the music stored in those tiny grooves !
This weight is supplied attached to the thin nylon fishing wire, which has a loop already created at its one end, ready to hook onto the appropriate place on the tonearm.
