Important: With our setup - you do not need to pull the fridge out for the fan installation; just open the access panel on the outside of your Boatr or RV... 

Our setup will remove the heat on the back of your fridge (not just spinning the already hot air around...)! Install both fans behind the top vent to blow the hot air outside. Alternatively, mount both fans behind the bottom vent to pull fresh air inside, an excellent solution if you have a top-vent! Moreover, YES - you could install one fan on top and the other on the bottom vent.

What you need to know:  Marine and RV refrigerators don't use a compressor; instead, they use heat from an electric heating element or an LP-gas flame. The heat created by the cooling process circulates within a narrow space behind the refrigerator. Air enters through the lower access panel and moves the hot air out through the upper access panel or roof vent. That creates a dead air space directly behind the refrigerator, drastically reducing the efficiency!

The best way to increase the cooling efficiency of your refrigerator is to increase the airflow on the back of the fridge. You need to install one or two 12-Volt DC circulation fans at the back of the fridge and a thermostat to switch the fans ON when the heat rises.

3. Four angle brackets with wood screws, nuts, and bolts for the fan mount.
