HEIRLOOM. Only the toughest leeks could come from Scotland, and this one rises to the occasion! Exceptional variety, very cold hardy with large stalks that grow 22-35cm long and 5-7cm in diameter. Mild and tender stalks with blue-green leaves. A tasty leek with a long history of cultivation. It likes deep, fertile, moist soil. Excellent steamed, baked, fried for garnish, boiled, and blends well with other vegetables. Adds flavour to soups & quiches.
