The emblem is heat sealed onto the front panel of this great collector hat. This process allows us to give this hat a personalized touch with special collector patches that you can wear proudly, which were not previously available! Our Heat seal patches have an adhesive backing, which is put on the patch, at the factory, after it has been embroidered. The alternative is to have the adhesive put on before the patch is embroidered, but this option entails several potential problems and usually this will make a patch fall off in a short period of time! The heat seal material, we use on this hat, is a clear slick coating of glue which, when applied to the hat with heat, adheres to the hat and will not come off! In order to get a good adherence, pressure is the key. Many people use a hand iron, but note that you only have as much pressure as the strength in your arm. That is why we use a heat press which gives the best set on the patch, which will not come off!
