Antique Japanese Imari Porcelain Scalloped Plate Phoenix Bird bonsai pot Medallion c1880 This is a large antique Japanese porcelain Imari scalloped plate. Likely made in the Meiji era, possibly late 19th century c. 1880. It is decorated with hand painted alternating cartouches featuring phoenix bird with iron red scrolling leaf pattern and green wave motif with round pierced like floral pattern and finishing off with a central medallion floral and bonsai pot. The underside is also decorated with scrolling leaf and floral motif. In beautiful bright and shinny condition.
