●The TGV Duplex, a double-decker vehicle of the TGV that France National Railways (SNCF) is proud of, was developed to efficiently and comfortably transport the increasing number of passengers on the TGV Southeast Line (between Paris and Lyon) by all-double-decker passenger cars. It was introduced in 1995 and started operation in 1996.
●With the opening of the Mediterranean Line between Lyon and Marseille in 2000, it became the main artery of France in both business and tourism, and has been active as a mainstay of the line with an increase in passengers, speeding up to 300 km/h. It is now active on a wide range of routes, including the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Eastern European routes.
●KATO will commercialize a new paint color called "Carmillon" in response to the paint changes made on the TGV Duplex cars. ●The unique three-dimensional shape of the locomotive joints of the R1 and R8 passenger cars provides a sense of unity and organization beauty between vehicles with different body heights and cross sections.
●The direction of the eyes of the louvers on the side face of the passenger car body differs from place to place. The smooth curve of the passenger car body and the cohesive window glass expression.
●Set of 10 cars, powered.
●The 206 trains faithfully reproduce the trains that are operated mainly in France.
●The coupling cover at the top of the locomotive is removed, and the attached drawbar can be used to reproduce the same 20 car train as the actual car.
