It has a high-low function (dual function / double contact) and round flange (see last picture). This bulb fits directly into your headlight and plugs into your harness. It is brighter, lasts longer, uses less watts (but is 10x brighter per watt), and will not melt your lens if kept on too long. It does not get nearly as hot as a conventional bulb. This is a non-polarity bulb so it will work with a positive ground system. 

This bulb is custom made with a front projection lens, the beam angle is 360 degrees, it has a super strong body and a steel base. It is one of the brightest bulbs in its class; brighter than a standard bulb! However, it is the front projections that makes it so effective. It's just engineered better than other bulbs.
