Enrique Pico Ego Aguirre formed Los Shines after getting hooked on surf music in Lima, the capital of Peru.

He met Gerardo Manuel Rojas Rodi, a vocalist who loved Trashmen and Paul Revere and the Raiders, and they recorded not only a Spanish cover of "Surfin' Bird" but also a strong Spanish cover of "Crasher" by Novas.

The band's first album "El Ritmo De Los Shains" with a trash garage feel, and their second psychedelic garage album "Segundo Volumen" including a Spanish cover of "Pushin Too Hard", as well as rare early single recordings are also included.
