I do not know the history of this case however from what I have read this was probably manufactured sometime in the 1940's or 1950's. I believe many of the GI's returning from WW2 brought these home with them from Asia. I have no idea who the manufacturer is and there are no marking except the sterling 950 mark. Case would make an excellent addition to any collection or would make a great gift for that smoker in your life. Sterling Silver cigarette cases that hold modern filtered cigarettes are not very common as most sterling cases were manufactured before filtered cigarettes were the norm. Feel free to shoot me an email for any questions. I will ship Globally.
