ABOUT MILK PAINT: Milk Paint is an ancient natural paint containing basic ingredients including milk protein (casein), limestone, clay and pigments. This paint can be used inside and outside with topcoat or wax application. Environmentally friendly (non-toxic, no VOCs).

Paint comes in powder so mix what you need and save the rest for another project in a 1-1 ration of paint and water. Milk paint requires a wax, top-coat or something to lock in the color to prevent re-diluting the product.  Milk paint can also be diluted more which allows you to use it as a stain. Fabulous for color washing for the aged, worn look barn or beachy look.

Coverage:

·      Tester: makes enough paint to cover approx. 10 square feet or a chair, bench, large mirror frame or color wash a larger area.

·      Quart: Makes 1 Qt of paint and should cover most furniture projects with 2-3 coats and still have powder left over.
