Bob Hoover P-51D Mustang "Ole Yeller" Die Cast Bank.

Sold in the mid-1990's, this is a Limited Edition P-51D aircraft metal coin banks that is signed by the aviation legend Bob (R.A.) Hoover.

This collectible aircraft bank is in its original packaging.
The box was opened to take photos of the aircraft, however the aircraft has not been removed from the internal plastic and cardboard support and protective packaging.
Only 2,500 of these signed aircraft were produced and sold worldwide.
The box (front) is signed with Bob's autograph.
The aircraft is signed with Bob's autograph.
A handwritten message from Bob is located on the left wing.
Includes the original "as received in the box" paperwork.

As a footnote, I attended a Sunday fly-in breakfast at the Aitkin, MN airport (KAIT) on 7-21-1990 with one my aircraft owner partners. I turned around to survey the long breakfast line and Bob Hoover (along with his friends from the area) was standing directly behind me. The conversation was short but quite interesting. I knew who he was, but I wasn't aware of all his legendary accomplishments at that time in my life.
