Amethyst is always one of my favorites to create with. The natural stones in this piece give it such a rich character. This one also has a very strong magnetic clasp.
As with almost all of my necklaces, I use a lighter, smaller beads where the piece falls on the back of your neck. I do this for 2 reasons. One is that it decreases the weight of the necklace, (depending on what types of stones are used they can sometimes get a little heavy) the other reason is that I think most women don't like the bulkiness of a necklace to interfere with their hair style.
