Osmium is an exceptionally dense element (22.59g per cubic cm) and the heaviest in the periodic table. It is a member of the platinum group of metals and has a characteristic, attractive blue cast. You will be astonished how heavy these solid pieces feel.

Range of application: Used to make high hardness of the alloy. Osmium with rhodium, ruthenium, iridium, or platinum alloy, used as a record player, fountain pen, and bearing in clocks and watches.
