All are handcrafted in my smoke & pet free studio. I use premium Class A Silk and use top quality threads. Superior quality threads are essential for the longevity and comfort of a scarf.

The silk is sourced from a reputable merchant, and each pattern is supplied in small quantities.

A unique item you won't see in any retail stores.

Edges are finished with a machine rolled hem using 3 different threads, one is a stretch, increasing resilience and longevity. The corners are treated with a fray stop. Very secure - no hems coming undone.

The scarf is hand washable or machine washable on a delicate cycle with cold to lukewarm water. Absolutely no bleach agents in washing powder / liquids. I use a gentle wool wash. Do not wring. Gently squeeze the water, and dry in the shade. Iron on a low silk setting.

Fabric: 100% Genuine Mulberry Silk Crepe de Chine - 18 momme. Medium Weight.

The bright colours featuring against a classic navy blue include mint gree, yellow, white, red, royal blue and periwinkle blue.

This is particularly soft to the feel & fluid.

Be wary of imitation silk. Often listings are stated as 100% silk, however are imitation silk, which does not have many features of gorgeous natural mulberry silk.

Silk Crepe de Chine is a sophisticated fabric with a truly exceptional drape and soft crepe silky like texture. The silk has a natural sheen, and the structure allows the fabric to refract incoming light from all different angles, thus the shimmery lustrous appearance.

Silks absorbency makes it comfortable to wear in all weather and while active. Its low conductivity keeps warm air close to the skin during colder weather. Silk is very hypoallergenic, non irritating and comfortable to wear, as it wicks moisture away from the skin.

Also mosquitoes cannot penetrate the tightly woven fibers!

Pattern is visible on both sides with the reverse side slightly less prominent. The other side is slightly less smooth & iridescent which is characteristic of Crepe de Chine.

Due to the nature of silk, the edges can be wavy. This feature adds to the wear-ability of the garment.
