Flying Lotus' latest work "YASUKE" will be released! !

Featuring Thundercat, Denzel Curry, Niki Randa and more!

Flying Lotus has composed the music for the Netflix original animated series "Yasuke", which will be released as a single work.

With the exception of a few songs such as "Black Gold feat. Thundercat" and "Between Memories feat. Niki Randa," which were released earlier, most of the songs on the "YASUKE" album are instrumental.

Thundercat not only provided vocals for the opening theme, but also showcased his outstanding bass playing throughout.

The hybrid drum patterns that interweave traditional Japanese percussion instruments such as taiko drums and clappers with African percussion instruments such as the djembe to represent the life of Yasuke, an African-Japanese who lived during the Warring States period, is one of the major factors that characterize this album, but the beat production and composition are also a key element of the "Yasuke" album. The beat production and composition recall the style of earlier albums such as "Reset EP," "Los Angeles," and "Cosmogramma.

The synthesizer adds a unique atmosphere to the approach, an influence that J. Dilla has stated was present.

The Japanese CD includes a commentary, bilingual lyrics, and an additional bonus track.
