Jack, Grange Publishing Works (Edinburgh) in 1877, 9.5" x 11.75" hardcover (marbled paper on boards, leather spine and corners, raised bands and gilt lettering on the spine, edges of the text block marbled, end papers marbled), 824 pages, illustrated with 24 plates and two foldout maps.
The front cover is detached, and the coves have wear as shown. Contents are in very good condition with clean pages and tight text block. End papers have some light extremity wear, and the frontispiece has a small chip. All plates are present and are for the most part clean (one has some spotting). One tissue guard has had a corner torn off (corner laid in). The first map has a few minor splits and tears. The second map is in two pieces.

How I Pack: Most books are packed in boxes with appropriate packing material. Thin volumes and ephemera are mailed in envelopes with stiffeners. Records are mailed in industry-standard cardboard mailers. All items are packed to withstand normal abuse during transportation.
