The embossed spelter foot of the base is crack, break and repair free. This can be re-painted or finished to suit your preferences or décor if not to your liking.
The deep ruby/burgundy marble column is immaculate without chips, cracks or breaks and has good even high gloss. It shows no signs of wear or fading which results from prolonged exposure to sunlight.
The fount is in very good condition and is without cracks, chips or hairlines. It is very clean with good even gloss and negligible, if any, signs of wear/use. I have no idea how old this fount is.
The colour of this fount is beautiful. It is not a true ruby and is more a crimson but unfortunately I cannot capture the intensity with the camera.
The collar is in excellent condition and is British not French.
The brass undermount is a replacement and the column top mount is original. Both are in excellent condition.
The burner is in excellent condition. All chimney prongs are present and damage free and the wick winder moves freely. It will accommodate a size appropriate shade sitting directly on the shade lip or with a gallery.
The chimney is free of the usual flea bites to the fitter rim and the top fire polished rim with little if any signs of wear/use.
