This wool overcoat has a dark grayish-black ground color, with yellow, orangey-brown, and blue streaks running through the large windowpane pattern. The bright colors are a bit unusual in men's overcoats.
There are tabs with a leather button at the wrists, it fastens with 3 leather buttons, two of these are missing, however.
There is a plastic button underneath the lapel at the top.
It's lined with a green and black paisley-patterned satin, most likely acetate or rayon, or a combination of these two.
There is a label inside which reads: Authentic Dunbrook Manly Fashions.
The 1949 Copyright union label is also present.
It measures 48 1/2" around at the chest, 47" around at the waist, it's 43 3/4" long in back, collar seam to hem.
The sleeve is 26 1/4". Please note that these are outside measurements.
The mannequin it is shown on has a 41" chest, 36 5/8" waist, and a 17 1/4" shoulder span, just for reference.
Good condition. There is one hole in front a few inches from the hem, this is pictured above.
The lining is torn at the seam, It looks as if the fabric just needs to be folded under and resewn, this is at the top of the split.
The closeup photos are washed out from the flash.
