NEW Akai Tape Cleaning Felt Pads with Lubricating Oil in Plastic Vial

Presented here are 3 NEW Akai felt cleaning pads for many tape recorder models produced by Akai.These have been kept in their package for 50 years and are clean for use. By applying these to your machine you can gently remove any loose particles that may be clinging to your old tape in order topreserve them. These felts are pivotal in helping to keep your precious audio tape clean and protected for the future. We specialize and lead in quality Akai products and have done so for over 30 years.

In addition, we have provided a small squeezable plastic vial that contains a small measured amount of official Akai felt pad lubricating oil (see second picture above). This original, out-of-production oil was made by Akai to allow the felt pads to further clean and lubricate the audio tape being used. The felts, by themselves, do well to clean audio tape but the oil drastically improves this process. Audio tape for reel to reels typically already have lubrication built into them, but after use and storage they will need to be re-lubricated for preservation and use. Tape squeaking is a common problem and the combination of these felts and oil help eliminate this. By applying 2-3 small drops of this oil onto the felt directly, the felt will absorb the oil and transfer it to the audio tape that is sliding over the felt. Over lubrication is possible, so only 2-3 drops per felt is recommended - and we have provided just enough amount in the bottle for all 3 felts.

Each purchase is for 3 original Akai cleaning felt pads and 1 plastic vial of Akai lubricating oil. These 3 felt pads will come in a miniature protective bag for storage that guards against dust and particles. The amount of oil that you will receive is indicated in picture #2.
