ABOUT TAGUA Tagua is also known as Vegetable Ivory. Tagua palm trees can be found in the rain forest of Ecuador – among other countries. These palm trees produces multiple bushels of seed pods a year and each pod has about 4-5 Tagua nuts. Tagua’s natural color is off white but it is easily dyed. Once harvested, the Tagua nut goes through the process of sun drying, carving, dying, polishing and transformed into a unique and durable piece of jewelry that is also eco – friendly. The entire process of any individual piece takes several months. OUR JEWELRY Our interesting and beautiful pieces of jewelry are handmade in Ecuador from beginning (harvesting) to end (the final product). Each piece of jewelry is unique, no 2 pieces are exactly the same. In addition, color tones and color combinations may vary. |
